You can set up your own logo box on the title screen by using this file.
HDM will read in the first seven lines and replace the HDM IV logo with
them. The next seven lines will replace the author's name & address and
the registration fee notice in the second box. Each line can be up to
forty characters long. Start with HDM -H and name this file HDM.HDR.
You must start HDM with the -H switch and HDM.HDR file must be in the same
directory as the HDM.BAT and HDM4.EXE program. If you use the -N startup
switch, the logo/header screen will be skipped and you will go directly to
the first menu screen unless you force users to log on. If users must log
on because you set up the User ID Table, then the -N switch determines if
the user must press a key to get the log on window, or if it will display
automatically.
To try out your own custom logo/header screen, rename HDMDEMO.HDR to HDM.HDR
and start HDM with the -H[path] startup switch. If you use the optional
path with the -H switch, HDM.HDR must be located in that drive & directory,
otherwise it must be in the same directory as the HDM executable (*.EXE)
files. You can modify the HDM.HDR file with any ASCII text editor. For
additional customization of HDM see the files HELPDEMO.HDM for customized
help system pages, HELPDEMO.000 for menu file help screens, and A1DEMO.000
for menu entry help screens.
Using -H with a path: If you use the HDM -Hpath switch, HDM looks for the
header file in another drive/directory. -Hc:\mydir would force HDM to read
the file C:\MYDIR\HDM.HDR instead of one from the HDM directory.
